WHAT IS 365BLACK?

Like the unique African Baobab tree, which nourishes its community with its leaves and fruit, McDonald's has branched out to the African-American community nourishing it with valuable programs and opportunities.

The preceding paragraphs are from McDonald's promoted 365Black homepage, which I have linked into the title. That's who 365Black is and that is their stated purpose above. As you can imagine however, everyones not real happy about it: In fact,the folks over at Fox Nation aren't thrilled at all!

Updates: Public Awareness of the McDonald's 365Black Web site has risen. It was mentioned on the Rachel Maddow Show, whose cover included blurbs and dissension, reportedly, from black bloggers. Statements like "condenscending" and "I'm hating it" a snarky take on McDonald's current jingle, are being bandied around. Damn yall!

Also a bit of information about the Baobab Tree, pronounced: ba·o·bab, báy ō bàb,
(plural ba·o·babs) is tropical tree: a tree with a thick short trunk and edible fruit. Native to: southern Africa and northwestern Australia. Latin name: Adansonia digitata [Mid-17th century. Origin ?]
